Loom Knit Blanket

I'm trying to clean up all the horizontal surfaces now that school is over and one thing that was easy to finish up was this lap blanket made from an entire ball of James C. Brett chunky yarn. I bought it online and thought the colour was interesting...not so much in real life. So it's been washed and dried and will go towards a group that makes hats and blankets for low-income and needy folks.

I can't remember how I did this--I want to say I knit seven rows, skipped a row and repeated...but I honestly can't remember!

I think we've all had those times when we realize that a multicolored yarn doesn't look as cool as we thought it would. It's one of the hazards of the hobby. :-D

It's great to know that your creation is going to help people! I've started making scarves and hats in my spare time so I can give them to organizations that help people in need. I donated several to someone who was collecting supplies for Ukrainian refugees; I look forward to making more. Always great to meet a fellow loom knitter!

I find loom knitting to be relaxing. Your blanket looks very nice and it will keep someone very warm. Loom knitting makes it possible to make just about anything that can be done with needles. It may be in pieces that have to be sewn together, but it's doable. I find it to be faster than needles generally.
